Job summary

Qualifications

• 17 years of age or older.
• Basic computer applications.
• BCLS certification; if not AHA, AHA certification due within three months of employment.
• NA1 or NA2 registration (NA2 requires NA1 listing).
• Nurse Aide I: listed with NC Nurse Aide Registry.
• Nurse Aide II: listed with NC Nurse Aide Registry and NC Board of Nursing.
• ED: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within six months of employment date.
• Psychiatry: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within three months of employment date and renewed bi-annually for first year and annually thereafter.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; basic computer proficiency.
• No prior experience required; training provided; proficiency expected within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care within scope of practice and hospital policies, adapted to patient age and growth/development.
• Work independently in both NA and Unit Secretary roles to meet annual performance expectations.
