Nursing Assistant & Unit Coordinator, Resource Pool

Job Overview

Perform routine patient care tasks within an assigned unit under RN supervision. Assist with activities of daily living, coordinate care activities, facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers, respond to patient requests, assist with nutritional needs, manage supplies, and ensure effective communication and documentation. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide patient care under RN supervision, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
  2. Coordinate daily care activities efficiently.
  3. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  4. Respond to patient requests and assist with nutritional needs.
  5. Order, stock, and manage supplies within budget.
  6. Facilitate communication among staff, patients, and visitors.
  7. Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper documentation.
  8. Comply with policies, standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of recent nursing assistant experience.
  • Availability of 72-80 hours biweekly within identified needs.
  • Willingness to work in multiple inpatient units.
  • CPR certification preferred; required to obtain and maintain.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and write, recognize patient condition changes.
