North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech to support the nursing unit with patient care, recordkeeping, and coordination of admissions, discharges and transfers.

The role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms and ensuring timely communication with RNs and other staff. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and the ability to multi-task in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Experience with medical terminology and rhythm interpretation preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing unit activities and admissions, discharges, transfers and changes.
• Perform clerical duties and manage intake/outbound documents and communications.
• Assist with patient care tasks under RN supervision, including activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient heart rates and rhythms and report irregularities to nursing staff.
• Maintain unit inventory and assist with budget considerations.
