Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Nurse instructor to provide career technical training (CTT) to students at the Gulfport, MS Job Corps facility. The role involves coordinating CTT with academic instruction, work-based learning, and social development in line with government and company directives.

The position requires a licensed registered nurse with at least two years of nursing practice and experience in long-term care, plus training adults or supervising nurse’s aides.

Qualifications

• Certified Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Two years’ experience in the practice of nursing.
• One year experience in long-term care facility services.
• Completed a course in teaching adults or experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse’s aides.
• Successfully pass background check and drug test required on the contract.
• Current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with CTT instruction in a designated area of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, and/or study habits.
• Coordinate with other industry team members to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Develop and prepare lessons. Recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Participate in student performance evaluations. Prepare required documentation and evaluations.
• Administer and correct tests. Maintain progress and attendance reports.
