Job Overview

As a Nursing Assistant Trainee, you will participate in a structured learning program designed to develop your skills and confidence to serve as a caregiver providing personal care to clients. Under supervision, you will work with a preceptor to deliver holistic, client-centered care that promotes independence and respects client rights. This role involves working within the scope of a non-certified nursing assistant while fulfilling all training requirements for certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow location-specific standards for infection prevention, safety, and privacy.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Obtain vital signs and monitor client condition, reporting changes to a licensed nurse.
• Support clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises using proper techniques.
• Provide nutritional support, including assisting with meals and hydration.
• Participate in housekeeping, laundry, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the UAP Registry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be medically qualified if driving is required.

Additional Information
