The Nursing Assistant Trainee is enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver providing personal care to clients. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in partnership with a preceptor, the trainee provides holistic, client-centered care that promotes independence and respects client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner. The trainee works within the role of a non-certified nursing assistant, fulfilling all training requirements in a designated timeframe. The program includes online coursework and hands-on skills development, preparing trainees to take state certification exams for CNA or other designations upon completion.
