Job summary

Providence Seward Mountain Haven is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to learn basic elder care skills through a State approved Nurse Aide Training Program. The role supports dining, housekeeping, and non-essential nursing tasks during peak times, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

Preferred candidates have up to 6 months of nursing experience and complete required trainings within four months; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Green House® Philosophy of Care, Caring Reliably, Culinary training, ServSafe, Dining Assistance within four months of hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean environment within the Lodge and assist with elder transportation
• Assist with meal preparation and set-up, and provide meaningful activities
• Serve as elder companion to promote safety when direct observation is needed
• Augment dining, housekeeping, and non-essential nursing functions during peak work times
