Job Details

Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: 7pm-7am
Schedule: Every 3rd Weekend And Holiday Rotation Required

About Tower 3

Tower 3 is a 55-bed unit specializing in mixed acuity care, telemetry, trauma orthopedics, and neuro-surgery. It cares for patients 18 years and older with neurological issues, post-surgical recovery, trauma, and requiring intermediate care.

Job Summary

Provides clinical support to patient care staff, including vital signs, activities of daily living assistance, supply management, and performing specialized duties like EKGs and Point-of-Care testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general nursing and personal care, including activities of daily living and removal of IVs and urinary catheters.
• Monitor and report patient condition changes.
• Perform hourly rounds to ensure patient safety.
• Record vital signs electronically.
• Train and precept new staff.
• Perform Point-of-Care testing and maintain related records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and transport as needed.
• Collect specimens and perform EKGs.
• Manage equipment and supplies, including stocking and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience required.
• Basic Life Support certification upon hire required.
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
