Summary
  • Assists nurses in delivering care through participation in the nursing process, demonstrating respect for all patients, families, visitors, staff, and colleagues in support of our mission to provide quality healthcare in a professional, caring environment. Responsible for individual performance, efficient use of supplies and equipment, and timely completion of duties to promote cost-effective care.
Responsibilities
  • Displays a caring attitude, maintains a professional appearance, and respects patient rights. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members. Performs nursing tasks such as hygiene, vital signs, and documentation, considering patient age and specific needs. Maintains confidentiality, keeps the environment clean and organized, and reports equipment issues. Responds appropriately to emergencies, participates in quality assurance, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
Credentials
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Basic Life Saving certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
Education or Equivalent Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; no prior experience necessary if enrolled in a hospital onsite Nursing Assistant Course during first two weeks of orientation.
