Job summary

Adventist Health in Kailua, HI is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal nursing care under the supervision of an RN. You will assist with activities of daily living and report patient status promptly to the RN.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, helping with bathing, grooming and feeding, monitoring patient comfort, and performing routine tasks as directed. This on-site role requires compliance with vaccination and safety policies.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• BLS required within two weeks of hire for the Acute Care Nurses Aide Program in HI.

• Assists with activities of daily living, including nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, restraints and restorative care.
• Takes vital signs including pulse and blood pressure.
• Helps patients with bathing, dressing and feeding.

Job Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification (Required within two weeks of hire for employees in Acute Care Nurses Aide Program): Required in HI
• Phlebotomy Certification: Preferred
• Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred

Essential Functions
