Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist in patient care under RN supervision, including personal care, vital signs, and observations.
  2. Perform tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and linen changes.
  3. Document health data and observe patient conditions, reporting abnormalities to the RN.
  4. Ensure a safe environment, using proper equipment and body mechanics, and report hazards.
  5. Support with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care as needed.
  6. Transport medications within the site, excluding controlled substances.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years old or 17 with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a CNA program, clinical rotations, Allina CNA Academy, or prior patient care experience.
Certifications
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, or in-house training within 30 days of hire.
Physical Demands
  • Medium work, lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally, 25 lbs. frequently.
  • 8-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend, 0.6 FTE.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $20.71 to $26.97, with shift differentials possible. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more. We support your well-being through various programs and employee resource groups.
