Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group is seeking a patient care associate to support bedside RNs in delivering safe, compassionate care in a high-need setting. You will help maintain a hazard-free, clean environment and assist with shift duties, ensuring open lines of communication among patients, families, and the RN.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department. Responsible for the completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the patient and the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology course or,
• Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• 6 months Working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Completion of CNA program or six months of health care.
