Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This full-time role (36 hours weekly) covers day shifts from 7am to 7pm and supports the nurse on a busy, interdisciplinary team delivering delegated patient care and routine unit tasks.

Qualifications include BLS for Healthcare Providers; prior Nursing Assistant experience is preferred; high school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.

Job Duties:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant who under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit:

The Progressive Care Unit, also known as PCU, is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. While working closely with an interdisciplinary team, nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures.

Qualifications:

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
