Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Progress Care. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts at the Eureka, CA campus, working under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or RN.

You will perform bedside care, including hygiene, vitals, I&O, and documentation, with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Preferred qualifications include Nursing Assistant certification and acute care or specialty experience.

Qualifications

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• Acute care or specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine bedside care under supervision of RN or supervisor.
• Provide personal hygiene, data collection and observation.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor intake and output.
• Use of patient care equipment; document in the medical record (MAR).
• Answer call lights and respond to emergencies as needed.

Nursing Assistant - Progress Care at St Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Night shifts.

The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to: personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL's, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications
