Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide bedside care under supervision, including personal hygiene, data collection, and vital signs. You will support ADLs and assist with documentation, communicating with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

This is a full-time, day-shift role based in Eureka, CA. The position requires BLS within 30 days and preferred Nursing Assistant certification.

Qualifications

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Nursing Assistant certification is preferred upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine bedside care and personal hygiene.
• Collect data, observe patient condition, and document on the medical record.
• Monitor vital signs and I&O, respond to call lights.
• Use of hospital equipment and support ADLs.
• Recognize emergencies and escalate to RN or charge nurse.

Nursing Assistant - Progress Care at St Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts.

The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to: personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL's, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations.

Required Qualifications:

• For Other Depts: Acute care or specialty experience.
