Job summary

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, seeks a Nursing Assistant for per diem/day and night shifts at our 23 East Jimmie Leads Road, NJ 08205 location. The role includes assisting with daily care, vital signs, and meal delivery, with opportunities for advancement.

The position offers a per diem schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and compensation of $21.00 per hour plus competitive shift differentials. BLS must be achieved within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or 3+ years related work experience).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification or related field (e.g., medical assistant, RN student).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and snacks and document oral intake for patients unable to feed themselves.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely and participate in mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Education

High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

CNA certification or related field

BLS certification within 90 days of hire

A partnership between Atlanticare and Select Medical, our 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital will open later this year and serve patients in southeastern New Jersey. Led by a physiatrist - a physician board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation - our team includes rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists; dietitians; case managers and other clinical and support staff.
