Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Battle Creek is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN coverage on both day and night shifts. The role includes assisting with bathing, hygiene, feeding, rounds, mobility, and transport of patients within a supportive, patient-centered team.

Hours run 7:00 am–7:00 pm or 7:00 pm–7:00 am, with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. Extensive orientation is provided to ensure a smooth transition into the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as nursing assistant, certification as nursing assistant or medical assistant is preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment and keep patient rooms tidy.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
