Qualifications

• Nursing Assistants must be proficient in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated KSAs: ability to provide patient care and contribute to care plans.
• Ability to observe patients and refer deviations promptly.
• Experience or education related to nursing care per GS-3 to GS-5.
• Completion of coursework related to nursing care may meet experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for Veterans and observe for changes in condition.
• Document care and patient responses in charts.
• Assist with basic nursing procedures and activities of daily living as directed.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and coordinate with RN/LPN staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper infection control.
