Job summary

PioneerCare is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct care to residents in Fergus Falls, MN. Positions include FT PM, FT AM, and PT with flexible scheduling. Salaries range from $20.50 to $28.00 annually (likely hourly).

You will assist with dressing, bathing, and daily activities and support residents in a compassionate care environment. Must complete the CNA training and be eligible for the Minnesota State Nursing Assistant Registry.

Qualifications

• Must complete the mandatory nursing assistant training program and competency evaluation and be eligible for the Minnesota State Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Care for long term residents in various stages of health.
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and grooming, toileting, walking/transportation, eating and exercise.
• Keep resident unit clean and neat.
• Provide for emotional and physical comfort and the safety of the resident.
• Assist with rehabilitation per medical care plan applying principles of prevention of deformities, normal range of motion, body mechanics and alignment.
• Observe residents and report to charge nurse any observations of change in condition.
• Attend in-service, staff meeting, and patient care conferences as scheduled.
• Carry out additional assignments as given by the nurse in charge.
• Promoting good interpersonal relationships.
• Carry out care center policies and procedures.
• Proper care of equipment and use of aseptic techniques.
• Regular, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employee will be exposed to virus, disease and infection from residents and specimens in working environment, employee may be required to work extended periods of time. Incumbent may experience traumatic situations as the resident move through the end of life cycle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

This position required intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting residents.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This position will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, mandates, call in).
