HCHcares in New Castle, Indiana seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care across adolescent to geriatric populations. You will reinforce education, assist with meals, monitor vitals, and help with mobility on a 12-hour shift.

This full-time role requires reading and following detailed procedures, documenting activities accurately, and collaborating with RN or LPN to ensure high-quality care. Perks include continuing education scholarships and a pension plan.

Formación

• Ability to read and follow detailed nursing procedures with clear writing.
• Completion of CNA program or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 12 months of nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Reinforce education for patients across adolescent to geriatric ages.
• Assist with dietary trays and feed patients when indicated.
• Turn, reposition, and assist in ambulation using proper body mechanics.
• Keep accurate records of daily patient activities and document outcomes.
• Perform post-mortem care following nursing procedures.
• Take and record vital signs accurately and monitor patient condition.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the RN or LPN reinforces educational needs to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients who present with readiness to learn.
• Assists with dietary trays and feeds patients when indicated.
• Turns, repositions, and assists in ambulation of patients as ordered using proper body mechanics.
• Keeps accurate records of daily patient activities and records the information as necessary.
• Performs post-mortem care on patients following nursing procedures.
• Knowledgeable in the growth and developmental needs of the middle adolescent through the geriatric patient.
• Takes and records vital signs accurately.
• The employee exhibits the ability to accurately assess and adjust interventions based upon patient age.
• Assists with dietary needs monitoring patient intake when necessary through I&O or titration of fluids.
• Reports and/or records any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.

Qualifications

• Work requires the ability to read well enough to follow specific and detailed nursing procedures, the ability to write legibly, use good English grammar, spell accurately and communicate effectively with a variety of people. This level of education is normally acquired through completion of a high school education.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or previous experience.
• Three to twelve months as a nursing assistant is preferred.
