Job summary

The McLaren Thumb Region is currently hiring a Nurse Assistant to support patient-centered care on the night shift. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform essential daily care activities and help maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene, while respecting each patient’s age, cultural background, and spiritual preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated patient care interventions under RN supervision.
• Provides compassionate support for patients and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, feeding, dressing, mobility.
• Maintains infection-control, safety, and confidentiality per HIPAA and OSHA.

Education

Shift : Nights

**Position Summary: **

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural and spiritual preferences.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in an effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
2. Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
3. Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
4. Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
5. Maintains a safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste, and other policies and protocols.
6. Performs other related job duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant.
• One month of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred:

• One year of experience in a medical setting.
