Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the part-time 12-hour day shift. You will collect patient data, assist with activities of daily living, transport patients, and support acute care operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and healthcare experience or Nurse Aide training. The role requires passing background checks and drug screening and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience.
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation.
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• Stays with at‑risk patients to monitor patient safety
