Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a full-time 12-hour day shift. The role involves assisting physicians, collecting and reporting patient information, and supporting daily living activities for patients with diverse medical needs.

The position offers comprehensive benefits, with pay ranging from $18.05 to $25.60 per hour, and requires high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and CT nurse aide training program

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patints with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
