Gundersen Tweeten Care Center is a long-term care facility dedicated to promoting a healthy, meaningful, and secure environment for adults of all ages. We are looking for compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our team!

What you will do:

  1. Various shifts available - apply to discuss your schedule!
  2. Every other weekend and holiday will be required with an FTE position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely under the supervision of a licensed Nurse.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach, and squat regularly.
  • Accurately document on each resident in an electronic medical record; must be familiar with basic computer use.
  • Assist with basic care for patients in areas such as nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
  • Assist in the orientation of new personnel.
  • Ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in CNA meetings and unit staff meetings.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to continuously enhance patient care and unit operations.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing.
  • Must be flexible and adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and safety precautions.
  • Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using proper practice guidelines.
  • Maintain environment and equipment.
  • Demonstrate dependability, organizational skills, and effective time management by setting priorities to complete delegated work within established time frames.
  • Adhere to Gundersen Health System Mission, policies, and confidentiality standards, demonstrating role accountability.

What you will need:

  • MN Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within 4 months of hire.

  • Pay starting at $18.00/hour, with additional pay for experience.
