Trinity Health Of New England’s Saint Francis Hospital is hiring an Orthopedic Tech Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include ADL support, patient transport, specimen collection, and safety monitoring on a full-time night shift.

Requires high school diploma, CT Nurse Aide training, and BLS; drug screening and background check required. Pay range starts at $18.05–$25.60 per hour with benefits starting Day 1 and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant with ortho experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: At Saint Francis Hospital the Orthopedic Tech Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

What you will do

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

Minimum Qualifications

Pay Range: $18.05 - $25.60 per hour

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
