Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Oncology team. You will deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology staff.

The role is .6 FTE on an overnight shift with every other weekend, and requires active Minnesota CNA registry or enrollment as an LPN/RN student, plus current BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota CNA registry or enrollment in an accredited RN or LPN program with first quarter clinicals.
• Must have current BLS Provider Card (CPR).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist oncology team with patient care activities and care coordination.
• Support the multidisciplinary oncology team in daily rounds and patient flow.

Department Summary:

We take a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. This means that our team of specialists, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, hematologists and surgeons, works together to treat the physical and emotional effects of cancer.

Position Summary:

The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers.

Work Schedule:

.6 FTE - Overnight shift with every other weekend (8-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications:

All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program. Must have current BLS Provider Card (CPR).
