Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, support basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe patient environment under the RN in charge.

This full-time night position requires a CNA certificate (preferred) and current BLS. Prior acute care or physician office experience is preferred to ensure smooth patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
