Job summary

Orlando Health ORMC in downtown Orlando is seeking a Nursing Assistant for night shifts (VFT Nights 3x12s). Provide patient care under supervision, assist with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities, and document patient information per unit policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of nursing assistant work experience in the past five years.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutritional needs.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean, neat, and organized patient environment.
• Maintains safety and security of patients, families, self, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assures patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions, always washes hands between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and input/output as directed.
• Documents pertinent patient information according to Orlando Health policies.
• Communicates safety concerns to RN or healthcare team.
• Participates in handoff report and hourly rounding.
• Delivers exceptional care to patients, families, and team members.
• Maintains a clean, safe nursing unit.
• Handles incoming calls and guest requests.
