UNC Health Caldwell Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for 36 hours per week in Lenoir, NC. You will support direct and indirect patient care under supervision, including vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, and patient education.

Night schedule and onsite work are required. Qualifications include NC Nursing Assistant I certification, BLS, and at least 6 months of nursing assistant experience.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Able to develop basic computer skills.
• Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies during emergencies.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information, and report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Provide patient and family discharge planning support and orientation to hospital/clinic/home health experience.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation).
• Reinforce patient teaching and distribute education materials.

Connaissances

Basic computer skills

Formation

Nursing Assistant I certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
