Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Springfield is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour Day Shifts in Springfield, MO. Compensation is $19.00 per hour with a $1,750 sign-on bonus.

This role supports compassionate, patient-centered care in a critical illness recovery setting. As a Nursing Assistant, you will perform bathing, oral hygiene, daily rounds, and mobility support, while helping transport patients and maintain a clean, well-stocked unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, CNA, or medical assistant preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Support oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
