Job summary

Critical Illness Recovery Hospital in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am). A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with pay up to $24.24/hour based on experience, plus night differential of $2.00 and weekend $1.75.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted with 3+ years relevant experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products and provide oral hygiene and feeding support.
• Perform hourly rounds to check patient needs and comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients between stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing staff.

Hours: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Sign On Bonus: $5,000

Pay: Up to $24.24 per hour, based on experience

($2.00 shift differentials for nights and $1.75 for weekends)

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centres when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
