Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time days, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and participate in hourly rounds to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products.
• Provide oral hygiene and care of hair; assist with oral feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist with moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms and instruments/equipment clean and orderly; maintain stock levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
