A Nursing Assistant provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic health care needs such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documentation
• Prepare and clean treatment areas, living spaces, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste according to standards and policies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred. Candidates must maintain required competencies and certifications. If working in North Dakota (ND) and not certified, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment.
