UnityPoint Health-Meriter is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our 35-bed Med/Surgical unit in Wisconsin. CNAs perform basic nursing tasks under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse, ensuring patient dignity, safety and adherence to asepsis during care.

Qualified candidates hold Wisconsin CNA certification and CPR certification. Orientation week is required; the team offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and competitive benefits.

• Current CPR certification required or eligible for certification.

Shifts: Nights; 8 & 12 hour shifts with e/o weekend and holiday rotation

TheNursing Assistant (CNA) practices and performs the basic nursing assistant procedures which were taught during their outside training and certification program. The CNA is expected to practice medical asepsis, respect the dignity and privacy of every patient, maintain objectivity during patient care, adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and practice within their scope of training. The CNA works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse. The CNA receives specific work assignments that are both written and oral with the expectation to complete the work assignment within their scheduled shift.

Our Med/Surgical unit is excellent opportunity to work as a team to provide the best care for our patients that can include, but not limited to general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ENT and plastics as well as general medical patients.

Required Qualifications:

Must be available the first week of employment from 8AM - 4:30PM for CNA orientation.
