Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision, promoting safety, comfort, and healing. Duties include personal hygiene, nutrition support, transfer of patients, vital signs, and accurate charting.

Preferred CNA; if not, must register as Nurse Assistant within 3 months. BLS within 3 months; BCLS within 1 month. Evening shift 3:00 pm–11:30 pm; 0.6 FTE; sign-on incentive of $1,500.

Qualifications

• CNA preferred; if no CNA, must be registered as Nurse Assistant within 3 months of employment.
• BLS certification required within 3 months after hire.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision to support safety and comfort.
• Assist with personal hygiene, nutritional needs and comfort care.
• Transfer and reposition patients, take vital signs, and complete recordkeeping.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and report promptly to RN.
