Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant at Northern Pines Care Center to provide direct care to residents and support daily needs, including personal hygiene and nutrition, while ensuring safety and comfort. You will recognize aging-related issues and promptly report changes to the nurse on shift.

Qualifications

• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtain within 4 months of hire/ transfer date.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

• Recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process.
• Recognizes and promptly reports changes in resident condition to shift nurse.
• Maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents.
• Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility.
• Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.
