Job description

Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant for our 38-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, and Atlantic Health System.

This position offers an opportunity to be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team caring for individuals who require continued care to recover fully.

What you will do in this role:
  1. Perform patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the patient's age and standard of care.
  2. Provide morning care, including bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing linens, cleaning over bed table and bedside stand, and general care throughout the day.
  3. Provide evening care, including face/hand washing, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, cleaning over bed tables, and general care as needed.
  4. Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist with feeding if necessary.
  5. Respond to patient call lights, anticipate needs, and make rounds to assigned patients.
  6. Assist patients with personal property such as dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, and prosthetic devices.
  7. Report and document any changes in patient condition or behavior, and any unusual incidents.
  8. Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • CPR/BCLS Certification
  • Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Hourly Rate:

$20.00 per hour
