Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 48 hours per two weeks on the Day shift, for 12 hour shifts, every third weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. The starting base rate of pay for the position is $22.33. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a medical/surgical unit? If so, then the Intermediate Care Unit may be an excellent fit for you! This 30 bed unit is situated on the 3rd Floor at Southdale Hospital, and provides telemetry and IMC care for surgical patients. The IMC team focuses on patient-centered care and multi-disciplinary collaboration, on a unit that is lively and exciting.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse.
Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include:
Assists the nurse in monitoring patient condition:
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients:
Transports patients, equipment, specimen and supplies:
Cleans, sets up, and maintains rooms and equipment:
Accurately documents tasks performed on appropriate form.
Performs other tasks as needed.
