Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide patient-centered care during scheduled shifts across the United States. Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, the NA supports daily living activities and basic nursing tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, recording vital signs, preparing treatment areas, collecting non-invasive specimens, and maintaining clean, safe patient spaces. A CNA certification is preferred, with ND registry if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.
• If in North Dakota and not a CNA, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within 4 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic health care needs and daily living activities.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens as needed.
• Perform scheduling and documentation clerical tasks.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and dispose of biomedical waste.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• Provide one-on-one patient care when necessary for safety.
