Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for an inpatient setting at Marsh Med Ctr Weston in Weston, WI. You will provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision and support daily living activities while contributing to a high-functioning unit.

The position is part-time with varied shifts and roughly 12 weekly hours. Certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred, with state registry requirements depending on location and training progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in ND, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or within four months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Record vital signs and glucose levels.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas and equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
