Nursing Assistant II needed for the Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Unit - 5 Bedtower.

This is a 36-hour per week position, working 12-hour rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), with weekend and holiday rotation. The position offers an extensive benefits package, including PTO hours accrued based on worked hours.

Summary

Provides routine direct and indirect patient care under supervision of registered nurses or physicians.

Responsibilities

1. Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and procurement of supplies.
2. Support administrative tasks, including data entry and PI audits.
3. Assist with clinical support activities, such as maintaining the work environment, troubleshooting, and transporting patients and supplies.
4. Provide direct patient care activities, including hygiene, vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, and monitoring oxygen therapy.
5. Reinforce patient education and document understanding of instructions.

Other Information

Education: High School diploma or GED.
Licensure: Licensed as Nursing Assistant II and listed as Nursing Assistant I in NC.
Certification: BLS certification.
Experience: Prefer 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
Skills: Fluent in English, basic computer skills.
