Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vitals, and help maintain a clean, safe environment across units.

Qualification requires a CNA or nursing program completion, Florida certification or LPN licensure, and current BLS. Inpatient experience is strongly preferred. This role supports hospital operations and patient wellbeing in Lakeland, FL.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant or related program or Florida CNA certification or LPN license.
• Graduate of approved nursing program or medical corpsman/EMT/paramedic background acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutrition.
• Provide routine treatments and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
• Ensure patient privacy, rights and confidentiality.
• Follow standard precautions and wash hands between patients.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Communicate patient information to RN and care team.
• Participate in handoff reports and hourly rounding.
• Transport and deliver items and medications per policy.
• Maintain attendance and comply with hospital policies.
