Nursing Assistant II - Med/Tele (Days) - Dr. P. Phillips Hospital

Our 285-bed hospital offers advanced technology and expert care in various specialties, including diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular, orthopedic, surgical, and emergency services. We are equipped with robotic surgical capabilities and have earned Joint Commission certification for our total hip and knee replacement programs.

Title: Nursing Assistant II

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutrition.
  • Providing routine treatments and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Ensuring patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Following standard precautions and hand hygiene protocols.
  • Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and patient data.
  • Communicating patient information and safety concerns effectively.
  • Participating in handoff reports and hourly rounding.
  • Transporting items, equipment, blood products, and medications throughout the facility.
  • Maintaining unit cleanliness and organization.
  • Providing excellent service and care to patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintaining regular attendance and compliance with policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of nursing assistant experience in the past five years, or relevant training such as CNA, LPN, nursing graduate, or military medical personnel.
  • Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for recent graduates of approved nursing or medical programs.
