Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant II to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The NA II will follow unit policies and demonstrate professionalism in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a nursing assistant course with CNA II training within 6 months, and MA CNA certification or enrollment in nursing school, plus CPR.

Qualifications

• Patient Care experience required.

• MANA - MA Certified Nurse Aide or enrolled in nursing school.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/or policies specific to each unit and the institution.

• Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary.
• Demonstrates professionalism and confidentiality in patient care.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Job description

• The Nursing Assistant II functions in a complimentary or assistive role under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The NA II provides direct patient care and carries out individual duties on select patients in accordance with policies and procedures of Berkshire Medical Center.

• Experience:
• Patient Care experience required
• Education and Training:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a nursing assistant course, and completion of the CNA II training within 6 months
• License, Certification & Registration:
• MANA - MA Certified Nurse Aide or enrolled in Nursing school
• CPR
• Other Requirements:
• Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/or policies specific to each unit and the institution.
• Familiarity with Meditech preferred.
• Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary.
