Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of nursing assistant experience within the past five years may substitute for certain trainings.
• State of Alabama CNA certification or equivalent nursing credential required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutrition.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean patient environment.
• Maintains patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions and hand hygiene.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Takes and records vital signs and inputs data per policy.
• Documents patient information accurately and communicates concerns to the RN or team.
• Participates in handoff reports and hourly rounding.
• Delivers compassionate care and supports patients and families.
