Nursing Assistant - ICU Williamsport - Full-Time Days with Rotation

Position Overview

UPMC Williamsport has a Full-Time Days with Rotation Nursing Assistant opening in our Intensive Care Unit. The position requires every third weekend and blocked holidays. Primary hours will be 7a-7p and 7p-7a when rotated to off shift.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including activities of daily living, safety checks, equipment management, and supply distribution.
  • Perform core nursing assistant tasks such as blood glucose testing, vital signs, I&O, specimen collection, and Foley care.
  • Support patient safety, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and participate in department activities and safety policies.
  • Document care activities accurately and respond to emergent situations within role scope.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of UPMC nursing assistant training program.
  • Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
  • CPR required within 30 days of hire per AHA standards.
