UNC Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I (Per Diem) for the Acute Neurosurgery and ENTCare Unit at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. The role supports a 27-bed unit with neurosurgery and ENT patients, providing direct and indirect patient care under RN or physician supervision.

The position requires BLS certification, NH licensure as Nursing Assistant I, and prefers six months of nursing assistant experience.

Competenze

• Fluent in verbal and written English and able to develop basic computer skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Prefer six months of nursing assistant experience.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information and report changes to a nurse or physician.
• Provide direct personal care including activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Help with admission, orientation, and discharge of patients.
