Job summary

Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and nurses, provide patient care, assist with daily activities, and help transport patients within the facility.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA and BLS certifications, with CPR preferred. Level II/III experience considered for advancement; we emphasize teamwork, alertness, and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 0-3 years in healthcare with increased responsibility.
• BLS and CNA certifications required; CPR certification preferred.
• Level III requires 5+ years of nursing assistant experience with CNA/BLS; CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assist patients with daily activities.
• Serve and collect food trays; provide between-meal nourishment.
• Change bed linen, run errands, and sterilize treatment trays and supplies.
• Transport patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, or tests.
• Measure and record vital signs and provide basic treatments.
• Ensure a safe care environment for patients and families; perform rounds and check-ins.
