Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to work alongside physicians and nurses in Morristown, NJ. You will assist with bathing, meals, transportation, medication administration, positioning, and daily activities to support patient comfort and safety.

You will participate in rounds, monitor vital signs, provide basic treatments, and help maintain a positive, collaborative environment for patients and families, ensuring high-quality care and a compassionate bedside presence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior acute care experience and CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

BLS certification
