Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team on a full-time day shift. The NA will assist patients with daily living activities, participate in hourly rounds, and help transport patients as needed, ensuring clean, well-maintained rooms and equipment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related work experience) and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and providing basic personal care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs and comfort.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas and assist with moving patients in wheelchairs/stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and care equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
